ABOUT US
Meet Heather
Heather, founder of Here to There Home Health Care, believes grace and dignity should be at the core of all human interactions.
Heather’s mission is to promote optimal healing and companionship with both her clients and their families.
Heather’s background encompasses a wide range of caretaking positions. She began as a CNA while in Fort Collins attending college where she received degrees in both Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Geriatrics, as well as a degree in Anatomy and Physiology. After finishing college, Heather and her family returned to Carbondale, Colorado to raise their family in the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley.
While still in Fort Collins, Heather spent an extensive amount of time working at long term nursing facilities, Alzheimer’s and Dementia units, Acute Care and a Life Skills Rehab Unit.
Here she witnessed patients during their worst and most vulnerable times. She also met their families and came to understand the impact that injury or stroke has on the family system.
This struck a deep chord within her and it became her mission to find a way to incorporate her skills to help patients and her families. In this way the patients and clients she met along the way inspired her to start her own company.
Here to There Home Health Care is a culmination of Heather’s dreams. Her goal to form an organization of personalized care to ensure the highest level of healing and care is a deeply personal one. When her husband experienced a stroke at age 39, she truly understood first hand the effects that a health crisis brings not only to the patient but to the entire family unit.
Heather’s experience and goal to be an advocate for all parties involved is at the heart of Here to There.
The Roaring Fork Valley is home to Heather and her family. She currently resides in Glenwood Springs with her partner Matt and their youngest son Devon. She cares about the people here, and she aspires to promote long-term healing and health with her clients.
